Re: Having trouble with GMA500 Display Driver
Just to let you all know I have got an HDFury1 from HDFury2.co.uk for about £70. It worked faultlessly with the FitPC2, and didn't need the additional USB power lead to make it work, as it obtained enough power to operate from the HDMI supply. It has a definite advantage over the USB-VGA adapter in ...

Re: Having trouble with GMA500 Display Driver
I dug one of our other Fit-PCs off the shelf and tried the USB adapter with that, and it works, so quite how I managed to bork the Intel drivers on the first machine I don't know. Anyway, it seems to be working, but one thing I haven't fathomed out yet is how to get the Fit-PC to start cleanly...

Having trouble with GMA500 Display Driver
I needed to get the Fit-PC2 running Windows XP Pro SP3 running with a VGA monitor. So we purchased one of the USB-VGA adapters recommended on the Fit-PC.co.uk website. I wasn't able to get it to work first time, so I uninstalled the VGA adapter software and drivers, in order to start again. At this ...

Re: VESA mount
I don't understand why you think a displacement of 40mm is necessary. Take the plate you have designed, which must be a 2mm thick at most yes? Extend the plate sideways. One end will have four holes for the VESA mount, and at only 2mm thick can be easily sandwiched between the back of the display an...

Re: DC power supply tolerance
I don't really want to sacrifice the capacity. This is the largest Li-Ion pack I could find with decent capacity (6.8Ah). Also the pack has an SM bus monitor in it, which will mean we can hopefully monitor the pack status from the PC, and allow the PC to protect itself, by shutting down before the p...

Re: DC power supply tolerance
Are those figures coming from the expected range coming from the supplied mains PSU, or is there are limit on the Voltage range the Fit-PC can take itself? I would like to run a Fit-PC from a Lithium-Ion pack, but these being nominally 14.4V they are very close to the 15V given in the Fit-PC spec's....

Re: VESA mount
We have been waiting to see these for sometime. We have been using FitPC as client machines for hooking into Virtual Machine systems. We have (and still do) use KVM extension over Cat-5. The Fit-PC is actually smaller than the existing KVM receivers, which are Velcro'd to the back of the monitors. A...
