do the following:
> sudo apt-get install nano
> sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
now u can add the lines to the text "sources.list" located at the path "/etc/apt/"

r8169 not visible in linux
using mandriva the r8169 is not detected during boot. it is just not visible to the os. if i do a reboot (without switching off) the card is detected and works fine. i have it on overclock (112%) and its running fine so far. i use e17 now with mandriva, no flicker anymore at 1920x1080 and really fast, with bling even transparent.
