after you closed nano with ^x (also see the discripions on the bottom of the nano screen) the changes should be written to the file "sources.list". to make sure that they have added to the file, you can reopen nano > sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list check that the changes are added to the file, than ...

do the following:

> sudo apt-get install nano

> sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

now u can add the lines to the text "sources.list" located at the path "/etc/apt/"

r8169 not visible in linux

using mandriva the r8169 is not detected during boot. it is just not visible to the os. if i do a reboot (without switching off) the card is detected and works fine. i have it on overclock (112%) and its running fine so far. Setting it back to 100% seems to solve this issue. any idea how to get the ...

i use e17 now with mandriva, no flicker anymore at 1920x1080 and really fast, with bling even transparent.
