Hi, When the computer is running I often have problems with the USB ports as well. If I for example plug in a HDD while the computer is running it will only recognize it about 1 time in 5. When it doesn't I have to reboot with the HDD plugged in. The same goes for keyboards and other USB devices. C...

question - are you using gigabit ethernet?
we had similar problem at work doing big transfers on gigabit (with SuSe), switching to 100Mbit cured things

my FitPC2 came with only one partition - they did not put /home on a separate one
Think I will wait till I get the SSD drive and install 9.04 on that That way if it all goes wrong I can just plug the old hard disc back in.

Can you upgrade in-place from 8.04lts to 9.10 on the fit-pc, or do you need to do full re-install?
