usb mobile broadband

hi i have the Huawei E220 "HSDPA USB modem" from vodafone ireland.
the modem is working fine but does not want to work in the Fit-pc2.
the software is installed correctly, and the blue light comes on when plugged in but the software cannot find the modem.

has anyone else got this working.
