Re: Windows 7 display driver constantly crashing after FW update

Will do that in a moment (is disabled now), but can't report about this until this evening.

Thanks for the quick response.

Windows 7 display driver constantly crashing after FW update

Hi, I just upgraded the firmware to the latest version (d.d. 24122009). But Windows 7 decided to install critical updates right after this update, so I don't know what is causing this. For the moment I put my bet on the firmware update, because the display was already flashing during the installatio...

Re: Frequently freezes of mouse pointer and music playback

The interruptions are much smaller more .1 to .5 seconds (sounding like clicks to small gaps). I've ran W7 RTM for a while and I thought the problems occurred also with this version, although I'm not sure about that anymore (can't remember). I have plans to update to the official release of W7 in th...

Re: Frequently freezes of mouse pointer and music playback

No luck, With C-states disabled, I have still audio interruptions as soon as there is a lot of USB communication, like there is with an external audio adapter of an external USB WLAN device (Linksys WUSB300N in my case). I still believe this is a firmware or an USB driver problem: something is block...

Re: Frequently freezes of mouse pointer and music playback

Hi Irad, I'm sorry about this late response, but I can't get into the BIOS with my monitor in the CAR (A 7" Touchscreen In-dash monitor from Yauto (CH) which only supports 800*600 resolution. So I will get the system out of the car this weekend and connect it to a multi sync monitor to adjust the se...

Re: Frequently freezes of mouse pointer and music playback

Hi, Any news about this item (hick-ups)? Note: The problem is not solved; I found a work-around by connecting the sound adapter to a local USB port in stead off a port on the USB hub. I also need to be very carefully in using other (USB) devices. At this moment music is stalling again, not as often ...

Re: Remote power on

Here is what I use (in my car): Because the power in a car is very unstable, I use a M4-ATX PSU from Minibox. This PSU is especially designed for automotive use. Apart from stabilizing the power, it also can shutdown the unit through USB. OK, it a bit of overkill (the PSU in case is at least 4 times...

Re: How to power-down an USB port?

Thanks for the info.

I will suggest this to MiniBox (the manufacturer of the M4 PSU), maybe they can add this watchdog to there firmware.

Re: How to power-down an USB port?

Thanks Irads, But that is not the problem: When I switch off the ignition of the car, the PSU sends a hibernate command to the FIT-PC, and then waits until it powers down. After 5 minutes it will cut off the power completely. In normal situations, this works fine, but in the situation when you have ...
