On the livecd the initial password is empty (auto scrambled) with auto login. So, you do not really need password. When you will start the installation, you can setup your username and password. Normally it is necessary to detect the chipset itself. I have no fit-pc2i in my hand, but I am sure, there is no problem with Hitachi hdd nor Samsung for example.
Any drive which is supported by the bios should work.

Hi, I remember, remastersys did not work, UCK had also problems. Now I spent some days to walking around and I made a working livecd from ubuntu 9.10, without remasersys or uck but google, ubuntu documentation and my hand :) Thanks to the documentation and google search :) Check it here. Have fun!
