The famous "NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (r8169): transmit timed out" is also affecting the fitpc2. I get it with a stock ubuntu 9.04 version. My workaround that works ok when connected to a 100mbit switch is to turn of TCP Segmentation Offload. That with "sudo ethtool -K eth0 tso off".

Something is broken with the recovery image. I tried for 2 days to get it working. Another issue that is even worse is that recovery image was to big for my 8gb usb stick.
