I'm experiencing the same problems here. I upgraded my fitpc2 from 9.04 to 9.10 after this upgrade and installing the latest packages from the fitpc repository everything worked correctly besides some quirks with the audio: When i started playing some MP3 files the application (rhytmbox) just quited...

Ahz, that's why it stopped working hehe. I indeed re-installed mplayer when the hardware decoding stopped working.

I rebuilded the mplayer-vaapi from scratch now, and it seems to be working again!

Took me some time to figure out how to actually do this, but in the end it was quite easy.

I'm getting this message saying it couldn't open display alv1. This is after I copied the fit .mplayer directory. Anyone has an idea what's going wrong here?
