Typically, electronics fail due to repeated warm up, cool down cycles.

Wish they sold the Fit-PC2 @ Amazon.

I would not expect there would be any issue using this as an AV media server for multiple clients. There are much lower power devices sold as AV media server that do a fine job. You would only run into issues if you have to do "on the fly" transcoding of content. For example: Lets assume your using ...

Based on information I found around the web the GMA500 does support at least DirectX 9.0E and Open GL 2.0
