Just thought I should add this: The first thing I see on the monitor (TV or real monitor) is the Linux boot menu (GRUB or whatever it is).

How do I get into the BIOS? There does not seem to be a hardware splash screen like most machines. I have tried this on my TV (the monitor I will be using) and on a "real" monitor (non-TV).

I am experiencing a similar issue. The machine frequently locks up. I can move the mouse, but cannot click on anything. Then the monitor (TV in my case) goes blank.
