Re: Dual Screen via VNC using USB to VGA multiscreen adapter?
Hey Guys, If you want your fit to operate headless and eliminate the fit going into a default resolution of 640x480 when screen is disconnected, visit the following post: http://www.fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1781 Install the video driver and you are in business! On my other dilemma, I b...

Dual Screen via VNC using USB to VGA multiscreen adapter?
Hi, I am running a FIT-PC2 headless at the moment and using Real VNC to administer it. I know the FIT does not support Dual head, but is it possible to use one of these USB to VGA adapters to fool the fit into thinking it has another screen plugged in and extending the desktop? I need extra screen r...

Re: Can the 2GB, 2GHz Rev 1.2 fit-PC2i run Win XP?
It is capable of running XP, but it's likely that CompuLab won't offer XP versions anymore as Microsoft does not accept orders anymore. Thanks, But on their website they are still selling other configurations of the fit-PC2i with windows XP. Hence why I was wondering if this config in particular wo...

Can the 2GB, 2GHz Rev 1.2 fit-PC2i run Win XP?
Just wondering if I buy the fit-PC2i 2GB, 2GHz Rev 1.2 Diskless, can I insert a drive myself and instal win xp, or is there a reason why this configuration is not offered with a 160GB drive and Win XP?
Cheers

Re: Fit-PC2 running XP without a monitor attached
Well Guys, I tried the dummy VGA workaround but it did not work. :( Not sure why, I used the right resistors and triple checked the connections and still no go. It may have something to do with the HDMI to DVI adapter. Benjamin, I'm confused on how a USB to VGA converter would work in this case? So ...

Re: Fit-PC2 running XP without a monitor attached
NVass, I think I have found a solution, not ideal but in the interim a solution. The idea is to trick the fit to think there is a screen connected. Found these sites who have dealt with the issue of fitting a dummy VGA plug by adding some resistors. See links below: http://soerennielsen.dk/mod/VGAdu...

Re: Fit-PC2 running XP without a monitor attached
Irads, I have received my two FIT-PC's and they are working fine. With an exception of this same problem. My intention was to remote control these two pc's via a peer to peer connection using RealVNC as Windows remote desktop is useless and slow. As I do not have monitors connected to these FIT pc's...
