Thank-you and well done Kleborp!
A very nice fix until the Ubuntu kernel is patched. Have you submitted the bug fix to them yet?

We are offering adapters from mini-USB to USB-A.
Do these come with a new FitPC2 ?
If not where do you get them and how much are they?

Re: USB +5V outoput

Usually this option is available in the BIOS configuration, but I just look and this option is not available. I ordered mine with the understanding that USB was NOT powered when off, as I have USB drives on these ports. Now I am stuck with hard drives spinning when the FitPC2 is powered down. :( Is...

Re: Boot to PCIE?

Cool, thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of integral storage solutions. System / boot or static data on the SSD and a 500GB sata drive(in the normal spot) for group data / variable - that kinda thing. Just nice to know that it should work I guess. The more possibilities there are, the great...

Boot to PCIE?

Note: * Opening your FitPC2 to do anything apart from changing the hard disk - will void your warranty * so don't do it. With that out of the way... It seems the mini PCIE connector for the WiFi is on the USB, if that is true would it be possible to boot from a device in that slot? Something such as...

Any ideas on how to actually connect?
First things first, can you at least connect to the AP / router without any security / encryption ?

Re: Ubuntu 9.04 wlan support for RT3090

I took a quick look at the source from ralink and it looks like there is AP mode support in there. Would be nice to get that working. As the info is so rare and so it doesn't get lost, I'll post here. Maybe print yourself a hard copy for when you are stuck at home on a rainy weekend. ;) See this li...

Re: Hard drive performance under Linux

Thank-you both. Sponk, that's perfect - cheers! :D For others to compare with other Atom type systems: I get 63.05 MB/sec on a 320GB Fujitsu in an EeePC 1000H with UltraDMA5 and 43.65 MB/sec on a 80GB Seagate in an Eeebox B202. Maybe the Eeebox std drive is a 4200 spin, instead of 5400 rpm or maybe ...
