Has sadler said "nomachine" is the best solution to your issue. I used it under ubuntu 8.04 and 9.04 and it works perfectly. If you have any question about installing "nomachine" I can help you.

Is it possible for you to put the right package to run 3d acceleration on this repository? And why not uploading on this repository all the package (for example the most performant kernel/drivers that could run) that the fit-pc 2 need to run perfectly on .deb based linux distribution (ubuntu) ? Both Windows and Linux detect three battery slots, and one is connected to a virtual battery, charging at 84%. I wonder if it is an image of the input voltage, because the fit-pc 2 accepts different input voltage...
Could Compulab give more information about this virtual battery?

If you are using a live image of ubuntu I had the same issue, the hard drive is not detected. It's because the ide-generic module is not loaded, I fixed it by typing in terminal: "modprobe ide-generic"

If you change the Wireless adaptater or put a USB wireless adaptater which support AP mod (Master mod under linux). The fit-PC 2 can work as an AP.
