Re: FITPC2i w Intel 520 SSD Crashes w Realtek Ethernet Drvr

I have tried installing an old driver dated Nov-3-2010 found at http://www.fit-pc2.com/download/fit-pc2i/win7-fit-pc2i/old/ folder name: win7_eth_101103 After unzipping I point to win7/32 from the device manager driver install dialog I get "Windows was unable to install your ethernet controller" "Wi...

Re: FITPC2i w Intel 520 SSD Crashes w Realtek Ethernet Drvr

RKz,
Thanks a bunch for your help!

Could you specify the driver version/date that worked?
Where did you get it, I'm searching the Realtek site and so far can only find the most recent drivers.
I must be looking in the wrong place.

Thanks again....

Re: FITPC2i w Intel 520 SSD Crashes w Realtek Ethernet Drvr

FYI:
It appears Realtek released a new driver on 11/28/2013.
New Driver: Released 11/28/2013, ver 7.77.1126.2013.

Unfortunately the PROBLEM PERSISTS with the new driver.

Could you refer me to a BIOS rev # for the FITPC2i.
All I have been able to find is the Pheonix BBIOS release date 9/14/2010.

Re: FITPC2i w Intel 520 SSD Crashes w Realtek Ethernet Drvr

I have installed a Seagate 120 GB hard drive and followed the exact same procedure as with the Intel SSD. All works perfectly as far as I can tell. Will Compulab be doing any tests or evaluation to see if you can fix this issue with incompatibility with the Intel SSD and issuing a bug fix? Can anyon...

Re: FITPC2i w Intel 520 SSD Crashes w Realtek Ethernet Drvr

From the information in the thread mentioned below it sounds like a real issue/conflict between the Intel SSD and Realtek chip/drivers and MB chipset. It sounds like the fix will likely have to come as a BIOS fix from Compulab or their third party BIOS vendor. Can COMPULAB please comment on this? Th...

Re: Power Plug for Fit2-PCi

Back in 2009 IRADS mentioned DC power cords for the FIT-PC2i with the little screw fastener might be available in the future. Any one know if/where the cords can be purchased (hopefully in USA). We are powering the FITs from a DC source and don't need the AC adapter but still want the security of th...

Re: Auto-on stopped working

Does anyone know if the Auto-On Hardware Failure issue has been diagnosed and resolved on new FIT-PC2i units? I have threee units experiencing this problem where they do not re-start if power is removed for less than 80 sec. I just contacted the RMA department for repair. Before orddering any new un...

Re: com and usb not itializing properly on Win7 fit-PC2i

The problem I posted appears to be a "feature" of Windows 7 and Windows XP. If the OS sees certain activity on the serial port at boot it automatically interprets it as a serial mouse and installs the serial mouse driver on that port. There are many posts regarding this issue from users who have a G...

Re: com and usb not itializing properly on Win7 fit-PC2i

New Information: In the failure mode characters coming in on the com port are causing the erratic keyboard/touchpad behavior. If I unplug my com device from the com port the keyboard/touchpad behavior becomes normal. So some characters received on the com port are being interpreted as touchpad/keybo...
