what kind of machine is this? this is common practice with most electronic equipment, like a TV-set, a PC, etc.etc. i.e. my Mac Mini does not keep external harddrives powerded, when the Mini is powered off ... But on my fitlet2 the external USB-hard-drive stays powered (even after fitlet2 shutdown)...

this does not result in excessive power consumption ... so you basically say: we can not really power-off a fitlet2/mbm2? it will always stay on standby and keep consuming energy - but "not excessively"? there's a difference between power consumption and no power consumption. what is the idea behin...
