Re: SSD failure or Debian 10 Incompatible ?
Fred44nl, I don't really understand how apparmor ties into the problems of the SSD becoming read-only or of slower (SSD) performance, as apparmor deals with application permissions, not really I/O. I'm running Tumbleweed now, although I could boot Mint to run a test, if that would help you and/or F...

Re: SSD failure or Debian 10 Incompatible ?
I have a Kingspec m2.SSD, which gives me no errors. done the dd-stress-test before, without problems. but what I find strange, is that dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=1048576 count=2048 gives me a speed of about 75 MB/s but the specs from Kingspec mentions much, much higher performance. as a comparison, ...

Re: SSD failure or Debian 10 Incompatible ?
ok thanks
my modifications for to-day are:
- purged apparmor
- added libata.force=1.5G
will keep a close eye
looked at Mint 19.1 Cinnamon
I understand why it must have been slow
so many services running, all sorts of background jobs and Cinnamon is really heavy.
