I actually ran the same test here and got similar results, so it might be some thing todo with the display hardware instore.

I'm using Fitlet2 devices with Windows 10 IOT core for a digital signage solution and so far they are working great, except when windows forces an update and the device restarts + the TV has been turned off at night, is there no way to disable the requirement for and HDMI connection in the bios? I have built a bsp if you want access to it just let me know

Just wondering if theres a BSP for IOT core available, I have started building one based on the Intel Apollo Lake BSP but would be nice if there was a proper BSP
