Re: FreePBX on Fit-PC2i
Works pretty much out of the box. I have installed Elastix (asterisk+FreePBX and a few other goodies) on a fit-pc2 and a fit-pc2i and it works out of the box.

BIOS update
I have just received the new fit-pc3 and was about to do a bios update but I noticed that the date for the bios in the website 9-Jan-2011 seems quite old. The unit I received has bios BZ_2.1.0.333_8 X64 (build time 03/02/2012). Is the bios on the site a newer version that the one I already have? Tha...

Re: fitpc2i 160GB hitachi failure
Here is the solution: 1. Get an USB-SATA adapter. 2. Take the internal HDD out and connect it using the USB-SATA adapter. 3. Install Ubuntu on the HDD connected using the USB-SATA adapter 4. Apply the patch. (easiest way is just to follow the instructions on http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?tit...

Re: built-in Hitachi HDD not detected at fresh install
Is it from the pilot batch? If so you need to patch the kernel in order to get the internal hdd recognized. Look at the following post: http://www.fit-pc2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1409 One way to get around it is to connect the internal HDD using an USB-SATA connector for the install then insta...

Random segfault from glibc in apt-get, perl
I have noticed random segfaults from many programs (apt-get, perl, freeswitch, ...) with messages like *** glibc detected *** /usr/bin/perl: corrupted double-linked list: 0x09e3b568 *** which seems to point to a memory problem; although nothing is found running several passes of memtest so it does s...

Re: Fit-PC2i hard drive problem
I think the easiest way to get it running (assuming you are to install ubuntu) is to plug the drive using an usb adapter, install ubuntu and last but very important is to get the fit-pc2 kernel as per instruction from the wiki. After that you can just put the drive inside and set the bios to boot fr...

fit-pc2i pilot batch network problem
Using ubuntu 9.10 with the fitpc2 kernel I have encountered the following problem. Whenever I do heavy network transfers I loose connectivity. Strangely if I tap the power button the connectivity returns.
Has anybody seen this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Best,
Roberto
